Karen began her study of art at Augustana College, Illinois, focusing on the use of acrylics. Later studies with local artists and Collin County Community College, Plano, TX developed her love for printmaking and water media. She continues her art education by attending workshops held by well known artists. She is a member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society and the Plano Art Association. Her work has been shown in several exhibits in the Dallas area and many of her works are in private collections.
