Texas Just-Art’ Artists Places in annual ‘50+ Show’ 2007 Art Show

The Richardson Civic Art Society is holding its annual ‘50+ Art Show’ at the Richardson Public Library in Richardson, Texas.  The art exhibition is scheduled to run from April 7 to May 18, 2007, and the paintings are on display for the public.

The “Awards Ceremony” was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007.  This art event was funded by City of Richardson Arts Commission.   Judging was done by Kevin Vogel of Valley House Art Gallery and Sculpture Gardens, and the Show Chair was artist Toni Wengler.

“Just Art” artist, Carol Welsh ( http://just-art.org ) placed third in the award category for Pastels/Graphics with her piece entitled “Duck Season”.   In addition, Carol, a local Texas artists has one other piece of art in the show called ‘Barn Owl’.  Both of these lovely paintings are done with Prisma Color Pencils on a velour paper.

Esther Friedman, another “Just Art” artist (http://just-art.org) placed third in the award category for mixed media / collage painting with her painting entitled “Homage to American’s Hero”.   In addition, Esther, a Dallas Texas local artist has a second artwork in the show called “Jerusalem Alley” done with watercolor on a paper.

As the art exhibition has some beautiful and interesting pieces of artwork in oil, acrylic, watercolor and graphics, the show is well worth attending.  All art works will be on display until September 27, 2007.

The Just Art Organization online art gallery is a showcase for eleven Texas artists . Just Art artists share their experience with fellow artists to help each other in creativity, art critique, and support.  The Dallas Texas Just-Art artists enjoy the distinction of having won recognitions in many local, national and international exhibitions.  Their art is hanging in Churches and Temples in the greater Dallas area.
