About me & my art

” I truly love color, bold color. I am also passionate about painting and happiest when creating, which is to be communicating without words. My goals are to embrace the opportunity to reach out to the world through my art and make a positive influence. At the same time, I must be true to myself and proclaim my voice as an artist. I enjoy water media, pastel, and oils. I do not limit my methods to the basics, but like to experiment with different collage papers, crayons, inks, etc.” “My goals are to embrace the opportunity to reach out to the world through my art and make a positive influence. At the same time, I must be true to myself and proclaim my voice as an artist. I have been a resident of Plano, Texas, for 25 years and Richardson, Texas, for 7 years. I was born and raised in Florida. At a young age, I pursued art thru higher education by attending Kilgore College, Grayson County College, Collin County Community College, and The University of North Texas. I furthered my education by studying with regional and nationally known artists, i.e., Professor Rob Erdle, Doug Walton, Jane E. Jones, Marilyn Phillis Huey, Polly Hammett, Virginia Cobb, Jo Taylor, Fran Larson, Frank Francese, Pat San Soucie, Paula R.. Nemec, Pat Dews, Donna Zaggota, Mary Ann Beckwith, Cheng- Khee Chee, John Pototschnik and Xiang Zhang, to name a few.”
